The Faps
The Faps
The Faps are a punk/rock 'n roll band from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, formed in August of 2011. With members from bands like Sleezus Fist and the Latter Day Taints (Denton TX- Austin TX), Switch Blade Floozies (Lewisville TX), and Filthy McNasty (Boston Mass.). They formed with the simple idea that making people laugh is better than preaching politics or religion/anti-religion. In the world of 24 hour news networks, government corruption, terrorism, and hate crimes The Faps are more concerned with laughter and entertainment to take the audience away from the brow beating of everyday life as a 21st century American.

They released their first EP 'Touch Your-Self Titled' in September of 2012, a 6 song EP with stirring titles such as 'Attack of the 20 ft Titties' a play off the 1958 cult classic 'Attack of the 50 ft Woman'. 'Beer Barn' about running out of beer at a keg party and having to make a last minute run chanting "Follow me like my name is Moses, we gotta get to the Beer Barn before it closes." The Beer Barn happens to be a fixture in several of the band members home town of Denton, TX. Also 'Put 'Em Up' which is intended to be an old school mosh anthem in the vein of Black Flag.

They recently released a new LP in August of 2013 'The Faps- Live in Denton TX!!' recorded at the famous Andy's Bar on August 2nd 2013. This album currently available only as a digital download has several more tracks such as 'Better Than You' an anti-love ballad in which the subject tells his girlfriend he's been cheating on her and "Baby she's better than you!" 'Rub-1-Out' is an ode to the old 1-900 sex hotlines that fell out of fashion with the rise of the internet. It even includes a climactic cover of the Regan Youth song "Degenerated".

With lots of live dates on the schedule, The Faps are a fun and jubilant show with their own brand of off color comedy and self deprecating humor rolled up into a pretty rockin' punk rock band.
The Big News
The Big News
Oklahoma City's The Big News is a Ska Punk band. They mix influences from British two tone and third wave Ska with a heavy influence of 90's punk rock.

The Big News has opened for Ska and Punk greats including Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Interrupters, The Toasters, Roddy Radiation of The Specials, Red City Radio, Los Skarnales, Dan Pothast of MU330, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Here Come The Mummies & Suburban Legends.

The Big News is more than just a band. It is a movement. The common idea that binds this group of musicians together is to create a new generation hungry for the truth in this convoluted and sick political world and to usher in a new generation of show goers who welcome compassion, love, and understanding for all peoples.
Sweet Chaos
Sweet Chaos
With the upcoming January release of their eponymous EP debut, the Dallas-based alternative rock band Sweet Chaos proving their rapid ascent within the local music scene is no coincidence. Formed at the School of Rock in August 2015, this young all-girl band is comprised of accomplished and extremely talented musicians. Sydney (bass guitar, lead vocals), Sara (lead guitar, backup vocals) and Payton (drums) have generated buzz due to a hard-rocking and expressive sound that belies their age. Combined with heartfelt lyrics and unbelievable stage presence, audiences are left wanting for more. They incorporate many originals in their live performances, as well as covers. They have a broad range of alternative rock musical influences that include Royal Blood, Muse and the Dead Weather to name a few. Their accomplishments over a short period of time are numerous including being nominated and winning the Best New Rising Talent Award in the 2016 MXD Rock and Metal Awards. They have played shows at prestigious venues such as The House of Blues, Liquid Lounge and The Prophet Bar. They performed in a large festival setting at the Breast Cancer Can Stick It Foundation fundraising concert at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas. The band experienced a thrill of a lifetime by recording a single at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis, "the birthplace of rock and roll." Payton has secured sponsorships from Pearl Drums and TRX Cymbals.

These girls can be best described as musical prodigies and literally have to be seen to be believed!
